The Park Octagon is a refurbished 1960’s office block building which is now a series of high end luxury apartments, situated in a premier location near the heart of Nottingham city centre.
When originally refurbished the semi-circular balconies were at the time done in timber decking. Now, some years on they were showing their age. Due to the nature of the building, a low maintenance, good weathering material was needed.
One key part of the specification was the under side of the decking would be visible as well so aesthetics of both top and bottom of the board were key.
With expert advice from suppliers TJ Timber, the Fitrite ECO DECK board system was chosen. Providing a long lasting, BSI accredited specification for performance, the ECO deck board not only offered both the performance that was required but also the aesthetics that were desired.
The product in many ways sold itself due to it’s accreditation. Fitrite provided excellent product support and technical backup from start to finish and worked with us on the unique issue of colour for the underside of the board. All parties involved from end client to contractor alike were very pleased
